What is Udyog Aadhaar?
Udyog Aadhaar (now replaced by Udyam Registration) is a simplified, online MSME registration system introduced by the Ministry of MSME on 18th September 2015. It provides a unique 12-digit registration number for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on self-declaration—no documents required at the time of filing.
This registration helps businesses certify their existence, business activity, and ownership, and is crucial for availing government schemes, subsidies, and incentives.
